Labor Day weekend

Well, these pictures are from Labor day weekend, sorry for the delay, things have been kinda crazy around our house. We had a great weekend, Jenn and Carter came in for a visit and we had so much fun. Saturday we went up to Mt. Airy for a cookout at my Aunt Bonnie's house and let the kids run around and play, it was great seeing them play with each other. Its always great to see my sis and see how much Carter has grown, he is such a big boy now and such a sweetie! The last day Jenn was here we went over to my Dad's for breakfast and to hang out before Jenn and Carter had to leave for the airport. My Dad and Barb made yummy country ham biscuits, fresh farm eggs(from their newly aquired chickens!), pancakes with homemade blueberry syrup, Barb had also made some homemade strawberry and blueberry preserves, so good! My Dad brought one of his horses out to see if the kids would want to ride and to see how they would react around the horses. They have all seen the horses up close in the barn and across the fence, but never ridden them. I must say Emma was the one who enjoyed it the most, she loves being up as high as she can possibly be and doesn't seem to be afraid of anything. Aidan liked it pretty good, but I think he only got up there after he saw Emma get up there. Carter wasn't too crazy about it. My Dad took them each for a ride around the yard. Unfortuneately did not get alot of pictures because I had to stand beside my Dad and his horse just in case they wanted to get off. Then he took them for rides on his tractor which they all loved! They also had fun checking out the chickens at my dad's. All in all it was a good weekend.

To give a quick update with the kids and their new school. All is going well, Emma is still adjusting to getting dropped off, she's having a bit of separation anxiety, which she should outgrow soon. I dropped her off one day and waited outside the door to listen and she did not cry for but a few minutes. Aidan goes right into his class and just loves it. I'm so excited about this school b/c they do so many fun projects with the kids, esp. in Aidan's 3 year old class, they teach them Spanish several days a week, they have science projects they do in class and fun art projects. They are doing this one project that I think is neat where they want the kids to bring in gently worn shoes that they would like to donate and they will be going with the folks that will go on a mission this year to Guatemala. Then they will get to see pictures of the kids that received the shoes so they can learn about giving to others. Chris picked them up from school today since his is off on Mondays and said that at lunch each classroom sits at tables to eat, but Emma likes to walk around and check out what everybody is eating and pick off of everybody's plate, NICE! Ha! ha!

They are only 3 months apart and at my Aunt's at one point it looked like Matti was wispering some secrets into Emma's ear and she was just giggling, they are going to be trouble when they get older! ha!

1st Day of PreSchool

Well, Aidan and Emma have had a great first week of Pre-school, they are now in their 2nd week and doing well. They are both going to Wesleyan Preschool Academy. I'm so excited for all the fun things they are going to learn and hopefully this will be a good place to get Aidan and eventually Emma ready for Kindergarden. That's crazy to think about! I went in to work late so I could take them both on their first day and I'm glad I did. I hate that I do not get to take them or pick them up everyday, but I am so glad that their Grandma Stovall is able to do that for them. Here are some pictures from their first day!
